Cumin Oil

The essential oil of cumin is extracted from its dried and crushed seeds. Nearly all the medicinal properties of cumin come from its essential oils. It is abundant in a phytochemical compound called Cuminaldehyde and exhibits medicinal properties that fight diabetes, epilepsy, tumors and increases immunity.

Cumin oil has strong carminative properties and effectively drives away gases from the intestines. Traditional medicine practitioners have recommended cumin for the treatment of diarrhea for centuries. Cumin oil is used for treating the cramps, digestive spasms, nausea, and bloating associated with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). The essential oils Cuminaldehyde and pyrazines act as a natural laxative, aids in curing infections or wounds in the excretory system.

Upon digestion, cumin releases a chemical compound called megalomicin. This helps to prevent and cure any sporadic food-borne ailments that can otherwise be harmful to the digestive tract.
